“I arrived to Kinlay hostel in September 2014, as a student doing a semester abroad in NUIG. Given the situation in Galway regarding student housing I ended up living in the hostel, an idea that many would consider crazy but I found lovely. The hostel was taking in students at the moment and after a few arrangements I ended up sharing a room with two other friends. The rooms are very cozy, with a big window (or some more, depending on HOW BIG your room is) in it, a little closet to hang some clothes and a cage for each guest under the bunk, if you didn’t bring a padlock with you you can buy one in reception. The common room is super comfy. You will always find people talking or having fun and once in a while a band will come in and play there for the guests. But to me, the main reason why my experience in this hostel was amazing in every possible way, was the staff. The managers are the nicest people ever, constantly thinking of ways to keep the guests happy and the hostel a fun place to be. A great big thanks to everyone at Kinlay for the lovely time I spent at the hostel!
